The ibex climbs up and down the high mountain cliffs with great skill. When the ibex carefully places its delicate hooves with its eyes fixed on the path, it can move effortlessly through the difficult terrain of the Alps. It does so more confidently than any other mammal here. It can easily reach an altitude of 3,500 meters! But when it gets hungry, it usually goes back down from the high altitudes, because the juicy alpine meadows with the tasty herbs are usually located further down.
