Beautiful dinosaur from Schleich.
Barapasaurus was one of the first large herbivores, 200-182 million years ago. Although dinosaurs were fairly small at this time, they reached a length of about 14 meters.
Barapasaurus not only had a very long neck, its femur also measured up to 1.7 meters. This gave it the name "big-legged lizard". Due to its body size and energy requirements, the herbivore had to eat several hundred kilograms of food daily. It therefore used its teeth as a rake to collect leaves from the trees. Because it could not chew very well with its spoon-shaped teeth, it simply swallowed everything it put its teeth into, whole.
Barapasaurus was two to three times the size of a full-grown elephant.
