The polar bear and the grizzly bear are the largest predators on earth. The polar bear, which weighs over 500 kilograms and can grow up to 3 meters long, is twice the size of a Siberian tiger. The polar bear has a thick layer of fat, which enables it to withstand the extreme polar cold. It also has an undercoat and a protective layer of transparent fur.
