Beautiful Holstein calf from Schleich.
After birth, the calves are lovingly licked dry by their mothers in their stall. After just a few days, they can go out onto the pasture with the other cows to frolic and play. A few weeks later, they start eating grass and hay. However, they still cannot digest the fresh green fodder as well as adult cows. This is why the calves continue to drink their mother's milk for six to twelve months. They are fully grown at around 5 years of age and can live between 20 and 25 years.

All of the beautiful animals from Schleich are hand-painted and have undergone a wide range of safety and quality tests. The animals are therefore both unique and safe for your child to play with.
