Beautiful alligator from Schleich that can open and close its mouth.
The alligator is a dangerous predator with exceptionally strong jaw muscles. Only the great white shark can bite harder than the alligator. Interestingly, only the muscles that close the jaws are extremely strong. The muscles that open the snout are so weak that they can be closed with ordinary tape. Compared to the saltwater crocodile, the alligator is smaller and much wider. It lives only in rivers and lakes in China and the southeastern United States.
