All RICE baskets are handmade from Raffia, which varies in color from nature, and this variation is reflected in the coloring, sometimes the coloring is light, other times more intense. This means that no two baskets are ever exactly the same. The same applies to the shape, here too there may be a slight difference. We think it is part of the charm that you can see that the product is handmade. If you order several baskets at a time, we will send the baskets that are closest to each other in shade and shape. Unfortunately, we cannot show photos of the different variants.

About the material: Raffia fiber is a fantastic natural material that comes from palm leaves. Rice's raffia originates from Madagascar, where all raffia products are made with heart. The products are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, where production contributes to better and more resources for the inhabitants of the cities. The production supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. Since raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, each product will vary slightly in color, shape and size. The colors will fade if the product is exposed to constant sunlight. Avoid water as it can cause color transfer.
